Stephen is
married to Diane and has two
children, Hannah and James.
Stephen is a time served engineer
specialising in industrial
diesel engines. His work involved
him travelling throughout the
world and as far afield as
Australia. He enjoyed model making,
swimming, cycling and motor cycles.
However, following a serious road collision
that almost killed him in September 2005,
Stephen has been unableto actively
pursue those interests. Extracts from that
collision are included in today’s performance.

- Geoff Pay
Geoff is a businessman and partner in a local motor group with dealerships in Lincoln and Grantham. He is married with three children, his son Lemuel is one of the top Kart racers in the Country within his age group and Geoff takes great pleasure in watching him race. Geoff’s daughter Hannah is a dancer who is following in the footsteps of her older sister Kirsty, who was tragically killed
in a road collision in March
2002.

Graham’s credits
include the roles of Karsten Bernick in Ibsen’s The Pillars of Society,
Mortimer Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, and Stewart in Pack of Lies
for NHDS, Polonius in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead for Lincoln
Shakespeare Company and Willie in Dennis Potter’s Blue Remembered Hills
for One4All Theatre Company. Graham has also appeared in pantomime at
Lincoln’s Theatre Royal. He recently retired after 30 years service
with Lincolnshire Police. He lives with his partner Sue, has three
grown up children and one grand-daughter.
Stage Manager (& Victim Understudy) - Rick Warner
Rick
moved to Lincoln in the mid 70’s before returning to his native London
in 1985
to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama and later
specialised in
theatre sound engineering at Paddington College. In 1990 came a change
of career
when Rick followed his father, grandfather and great grandfather into
the Fire
Service.
Fire Officer -
Steve Screaton Steve lives in
Lincoln and is married with four children. After serving in the 1991
Gulf War he joined the Fire Service in 1994 and after many years on
operational duties Steve is now Road Safety Co-ordinator for
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue working with the Lincolnshire Road Safety
Partnership. In 1998 Steve ran the London Marathon wearing breathing
apparatus to raise money for the Fire Services Benevolent Fund and
local Charities. Steve now enjoys hiking up (and down) mountains.
(Stephen
Goulden) - Joss Nicholas
Joss
has enjoyed the theatre most of his life and started acting young. He
studied
to be an actor although upon graduating decided that he preferred to
keep it as
a ‘love’ rather than a ‘job’. He has played several roles at the Palace
Theatre, Newark
including the lead in Cheese and The Big Picture as well as various
pantomimes.
Most of his spare time is spent playing with cars or helping out in
youth
activities at church. He has worked closely with the 2Fast2Soon project
for
over a year and is looking forward to performing the role of Steven.
Fire Officer -
John Taylor
John is Station
Manager at North Lincoln Fire Station. He has worked for Lincolnshire
Fire and Rescue for the past 28 years and during that time has attended
all types of incidents, from cats up trees to major industrial fires. A
large percentage of his work now involves road traffic collisions in
and around the City area. John says, “People should be more aware that
driving is a skill to be nurtured and respected. A few seconds thought
and consideration can mean the difference between a long and prosperous
life and a relatively short one. It would also make my life a bit
easier as well!”
Police Officer -
Dave Kay
Dave joined Kent Police in 1987 having
served 12 years in the Army in Northern Ireland, Berlin, and the
Falklands campaign. In 1989 Dave moved on to an Armed Response Vehicle
unit working mainly on the M25, M20 and M26. He transferred to
Lincolnshire Police in November 2004. Dave has been married for 29
years and has two children. Having just retired as a football referee
Dave loves all types of music, particularly jazz and enjoys a day at
the races.
Police Officer -
Iain Dean
Iain joined
Lincolnshire Police in 1987 having previously served 11 years in the
Army. He joined the Roads Policing Unit in 1996 and has attended the
scene of many fatal and serious injury road traffic collisions. Iain
successfully completed a Police Driving Instructors Course and gained a
BTEC (Higher) Diploma as a Police Advanced Driving Instructor. He is
also a Tactical Pursuit Driving Instructor and a VIP and Security
Escort Driver in which capacity he has driven members of the Royal
Family. Ian is married to Eileen and has 2 young children.
Paramedic - Ian
Boothman
Ian
joined the Ambulance Service in 2000 as a Health Transport
Driver/Attendant working on the Patient Transport Service. Since then
he has progressed through Ambulance Technician to Paramedic in 2005 to
his present role of Community Practitioner. Previously Ian was an
Assistant Air Traffic Controller in the Royal Air Force. Ian has always
had a fascination for things medical and was a member of the St John
Ambulance Brigade whilst serving in both the UK and Germany. Ian is
married with four children, none of which have followed him into a
medical field.
Paramedic -Paul
Harding-Hubbard
Paul is a
Paramedic Team Leader at Lincoln Ambulance Station having joined the
Ambulance Service in 1991 and became a Paramedic in 1994. Paul has
featured on the television programme ‘999’ and thoroughly enjoys his
career gaining knowledge and experience about people and life, which
you just cannot buy. If you can imagine it, Paul has seen it!
(Diane Goulden)- Katie
Warnsby
Katie’s passion
has always been musical theatre. Her credits include Charity (Sweet
Charity),
Nellie (South Pacific), Maria (West Side Story), Vicki Nicholls (The
Full
Monty), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), Reno (Anything Goes), Mabel (Mack
and
Mabel), and Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof). Most recently she appeared in
pantomime in Brighton and Hove.
