The Crash Car Simulator was built in 2009
for the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership (LRSP) in order to reduce
the number of people killed and injured on Lincolnshire’s roads.
The crash car
simulator is a road legal modified Peugeot 206. The car is unique in
its design and currently is the only one of its kind in the UK.
The car is
taken into schools and colleges to help educate young drivers.
The car attends modified car shows, cruise events and is often driven
to car meeting areas to tackle antisocial behaviour. A trained
operator accompanies the car. He is an advanced driver, has a
background in modifying cars and has a wealth of road safety knowledge.
